Missouri River Dock

We have a boat dock on the Missouri River and a sandy beach for picnics and sunning. You can fish the river with your boat, from shore, or dock for northern pike, walleye, sauger, cutthroat and brown trout. The private beach will allow you to escape from the rest of the world to enjoy the calm relaxation of the Missouri River with its natural surroundings. Our private boat dock is just 3 miles below the Garrison Dam Tail Race which is one of the premier fishing spots in the state. State records for Chinook salmon and brown, rainbow, and cutthroat trout were caught within 20 miles downstream of the dam.

You can bring your own boat, or we have linking services that will deliver to our boat dock, either canoes, paddle boats, buck bags, or kayaks.  Call "Tailrace Adventures" 701-487-3356 or "Sakakawea Outfitters" at 701-487-3683.

From the Garrison Dam down stream, you can find some of the last undeveloped segments of the Missouri River - Lewis and Clark's river highway. Nature lovers also find a wealth of wildlife along its shores. Watch for both bald and golden eagles, osprey, beaver, whitetail deer, least terns, and the piping plover, a threatened species. Both the terns and the plovers make their nests on the sandbars.
